Once again we're turning our blog over to our bezzys down at Our Place, Sefton Care Leavers Centre.  If you'd like to know more or make a referral, dont hesitate to contact David, Jo Lee or Stef at the Centre.  Now, over to Stef for some news on whats been happening this week...

Hi all! This week at Our Place has been a busy one!

We've had one of our young people begin to volunteer with us and he has been coming up with some amazing ideas for fundraising, including a charity football match! It's only £1 to watch and all proceeds will go to helping our centre! (we'll get back to you with the official date when we arrange it) but how cool is that?!

We've been having lots of fun with our new Arts and Textiles sessions (which are on Tue: 12:30-5pm, Wed: 12:30-5pm and Thurs: 10am-1pm) where we've been making sock puppets, pillow cases and lots more! It's been a lovely way to relax and learn new skills, so if you fancy getting creative just come along and get involved!

On Wednesday, some of our young people completed our S.H.E Life Skills course and so, to thank them for attending and to congratulate them for finishing it, we held a little ceremony for them! We bought them dinner (they chose to have KFC, yum!), then we presented them with their certificates and a goodie bag! It was a great day and we're so proud of you all!

Then, on Friday, we attended the One Vision Housing open day! We learned so much about their business and how we can link in with them to give you the best advice possible about housing and tenancies. We gained so much knowledge and can't wait to use it to help everyone! A huge thank you to OVH for having us, it was a lovely day!
