Thursdays at Venus
It's Thursday afternoon and our cosy, welcoming little Centre is full to the brim of chattering voices, laughter (some crying too!), the clattering of tea cups, the chatter of computer keyboards and the constant ringing of the phone.
Thursdays are busy at Venus because not only do we have our popular Makers session, where you can call in, have a brew and a biscuit, a chat with some new friends and old and learn how to use traditional crafts skills to make lovely things, as always with Venus, people are here to get advice about a range of issues. You could come to see any of our trio of Jo's... Jo H about money concerns, see Jo C about counselling or Jo K about housing. You could see George about family support, see Clare for parenting or childcare advice, work with Mary on homecare or ask Jean about getting onto the SHE course... there are lots of reasons you might come to Venus, whichever it is, you're welcome here and we'll do our best to support you and your family.
So, back to this Thursday. Today whilst a new mum was here to get some advice on a couple of issues, George was happy to hold our newest visitor to the Centre, say "Hiya!" to Lilly-May, here with George and Sally.
