As well as saving the world from debt one appointment at a time, our resident Money Management Wizard, Jo Hughes, also contributes to our volunteer training sessions to impart her wisdom and myriad tips and tricks so that our volunteers can confidently address these issues with the individuals they support.

One such training session happened this week at one of our Parent to Parent Volunteer training courses in Halton.  Jo facilitates the session to be informal, informative and accessible so that the scary issues of debt and budgeting seem less daunting.

Money Management is just one of the sessions of the 8 week training course we run for our volunteers.  We cover issues such as safeguarding, healthy relationships, home management and many more.  The sessions are co-ordinated by our training maestro Jean in partnership with our colleagues across the sector and are welcoming and inclusive.

Volunteers are an integral and valued part of the services that we provide.  Many of us started our careers as volunteers here and this translates to providing good support for volunteers which in turn ensures high quality support for individuals.  There are a range of volunteer opportunties with us, from Centre-based admin and office-y type things in Venus or in Our Place, to one to one support work on our varied projects, we're sure there is something that might interest you and develop skills.
